CVS Pharmacy Unveils Enhanced Loyalty Program for Simplified Member Experience

CVS Pharmacy, the retail arm of CVS Health® (NYSE: CVS), has announced a comprehensive upgrade to its loyalty program, introducing two membership tiers: ExtraCare® and ExtraCare Plus™. This transformation aims to streamline the membership experience for customers.

Key Highlights:

1.        ExtraCare: The existing no-fee loyalty program has been revamped to be more straightforward and valuable. ExtraCare now consolidates features from the ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards® program, allowing members to opt-in and earn up to $50 for prescription fills and vaccinations. ExtraCare members will now earn $2 ExtraBucks Rewards for every 4 prescriptions filled.

2.        ExtraCare Plus: The previous CarePass® program has been rebranded as ExtraCare Plus. Positioned as the small-fee, high-savings tier, it encompasses all ExtraCare benefits with the addition of new perks. Members of ExtraCare Plus enjoy the convenience of free same-day delivery for nearly all in-store products within three hours, along with a $10 monthly bonus reward.

3.        Simplified Savings: CVS Pharmacy commits to offering savings both in-store and online. Members will receive personalized deals through email and text, 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards, and exclusive savings during member events.
