Drugs Q & A

What Are The Side Effects Of Relaxium?

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) defines an adverse effect as “an unexpected medical problem that happens during treatment with a drug or other therapy.” Unwanted effects can result from a physician’s advice and from medications or treatments, including complementary and alternative therapies. They can lead to complications.

Reports from clinical trials describe adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs). SAEs include death, birth defects, complications that require hospitalization, or permanent damage as a result side effects remain one of the major things a patient looks out for in a medication.

What is Relaxium?

Relaxium is a sleep supplement that was developed with a blend of natural ingredients for promoting falling asleep and staying asleep. Relaxium Sleep contains two key proprietary ingredients—Sensoril and Valerest. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trial, participants who used these ingredients reported a 71% improvement in their ability to sleep, 70% mood improvement and reduction of stress, a 53% boost in daytime energy, and an overall improvement in quality of life.

According to its promoters, Relaxium Sleep combines clinically researched and proven ingredients that help to reduce sleeplessness, stress, and anxiety, boost daytime energy, and enhance focus and concentration.

However, the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation routine monitoring program, which looked into the case of whether television and online advertising claims for the Relaxium Sleep dietary supplement were truthful and properly substantiated recommended that the marketer discontinue its “clinically studied” claim as well as other major claims because of questions about whether the study actually found that the product worked as advertised and whether the product performed better than the placebo.

What Are The Side Effects Of Relaxium?

The promoters claim Relaxium natural blend of ingredients avoids negative side effects and dependency. However, according to Safe Medication, “natural” doesn’t necessarily mean “safe.” Because herbal supplements and vitamins are not regulated by the Food & Drug Administration, there is no guarantee about their safety or effectiveness.

These products can act just like prescription medicines, however, in that, they can cause side effects, interfere with your other medications, or even worsen your health. In fact, some herbal products have been known to cause serious illnesses, allergies, high blood pressure, or even organ damage. Therefore, it is vital that you tell both your doctor and your pharmacist if you are taking any of these products.
